In this vital role, you will be a key contributor to Amgen’s global digital transformation initiatives by delivering secure, compliant, and user-friendly digital solutions. As part of the Global Medical Technology – Medical Information team, you will play a critical role in ensuring quality, compliance, and performance across Amgen’s Medical Information platforms.
As an Application Test Analyst, you will be responsible for validating and assuring the quality of enterprise applications through structured testing processes. This includes designing and executing test cases, capturing test evidence, and logging/tracking defects to resolution. You will work closely with development, quality, and validation teams to deliver reliable, compliant solutions used by healthcare professionals and patients globally.
Roles & Responsibilities
Design and develop functional and regression test cases for Salesforce-based systems (Lightning components, custom objects, workflows, validations, integrations).
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by coordinating test activities, preparing scenarios, and assisting end users.
Configure and manage test data in Salesforce environments, aligned with test case preconditions.
Implement structured testing phases: Dry Runs, Operational Qualification (OQ), Functional Testing, Regression Testing.
Conduct System Integration Testing (SIT) to ensure seamless end-to-end data flow across systems.
Capture and upload test evidence, screenshots, logs, and results to HP ALM, ensuring proper documentation.
Log, track, and prioritize defects in HP ALM, link them to test cases, and work with developers for resolution.
Perform re-tests and confirm defect closures, ensuring fixes are verified and no regressions exist.
Execute manual test scripts for Salesforce access controls, data security, UI consistency, and workflows.
Validate security configurations, field-level permissions, and layouts to ensure compliance with internal controls and GxP standards.
Participate in Salesforce release cycle testing, including sandbox validations and data migration impact assessments.
Ensure all testing activities are traceable and audit-ready in HP ALM for CSV and regulatory compliance.
Support audit and inspection readiness by maintaining structured documentation.
Contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies, providing insights, risks, and quality updates.
Continuously improve QA processes by enhancing test case reusability, ALM usage, and team collaboration.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 0–3 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, or related field
Diploma with 4–7 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Life Sciences, or related field
3+ years of experience in manual testing and system validation in regulated (GxP/CSV) environments
Knowledge of test lifecycle documentation (test plans, RTMs, OQ scripts, summary reports)
Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., HP ALM, JIRA, qTest)
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology in healthcare/pharma domains
Understanding of GxP compliance, 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, and data integrity standards
Exposure to or interest in automation tools like Selenium, TestNG
Must-Have Skills
Experience in manual testing for Salesforce, including Lightning components, workflows, and custom objects
Proficiency in HP ALM (or equivalent) for test planning, execution, and defect management
Strong ability to log, track, and verify defects, and collaborate with developers for resolution
Execution of manual test scripts focused on access controls, data security, UI consistency, and workflows
Good-to-Have Skills
Experience in regulated healthcare or pharma environments
Interest or exposure to automation frameworks/tools
Experience with Salesforce release testing, sandbox validations, and post-deployment checks
Familiarity with RTMs, OQ protocols, test plans, and validation summary reports
Active participation in Agile ceremonies with the ability to raise risks and improve QA processes
Solid grasp of CSV and compliance requirements with audit-ready documentation experience
Professional Certifications
ISTQB Foundation or Advanced Level Certification
Certified CSV/Validation Professional (optional)
SAFe Agile or Scrum Certification (preferred)
