Principal responsibilities 

  • Perform timely TEQ QA activities including the review and feedback of Tier 1, 2 and 3 TEQ submissions in line with the corresponding sampling criteria for each Tier.
  • Ensure TEQ reviews are completed within the stipulated time frame and defined SLAs.
  • Escalates issues as applicable to the TEQ QA Manager which could have a probable business impact on turnaround time.
  • Perform against the standardized TEQ QA methodology and support the usage of these standardized tools.
    Customers (External/ Internal)
  • Maintain high quality standards and avoid rework on the quality assurance reviews completed.
  • Act as a process expert and extend support to Relationship Managers by sharing best practices.
    Leadership & Teamwork
  • Communicate effectively with other TEQ QA team members while providing support and driving quality initiatives.
  • Ensure adequate development and coaching is provided in the team to develop skills and competencies.
  • Support the team by providing timely feedback and inputs on individual performance.
  • Facilitate process efficiencies and recommend process changes through engagement across the team, to help enable continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and awareness of key climate risk concepts – e.g., Physical Risk (both acute and chronic) and Transition Risk. Formal qualifications such as GARP Sustainability & Climate Risk (SCR) would be advantageous.
  • High level awareness of higher risk sectors and how climate transition and change may impact these.
  • High level awareness of national and overall international climate commitments and policy.
  • High level awareness of concepts such as TCFD (Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures).
  • Experience and knowledge of of quality testing, assurance, compliance and audit.
  • Ability to apply judgement and critical thought to identify risks and issues in TEQs.
  • Solid knowledge and experience in processes, Bank systems and/or project management.
  • Well-developed internet search skills, and ability to find relevant information, particularly in external reporting such as sustainability or annual reports.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to quickly and accurately interpret and validate external information.
  • Ability to learn quickly, transfer knowledge appropriately, understand and interpret numeric data, such as emissions and capital expenditure.
  • Extremely keen eye for detail.
  • Organized and logical thinker.
  • Strong interpersonal sensitivity.
  • Strong written / verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate with various members of the GB and CMB Frontline teams.
