Responsibilities
ETL Testing:
Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies for ETL processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness in the data warehouse.Data Validation:
Validate data at various stages of the ETL process—extraction, transformation, and loading—to maintain the integrity of the data warehouse.Test Automation:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to streamline testing and improve efficiency.Regression Testing:
Conduct detailed regression testing to detect and address issues or defects introduced during development.Performance Testing:
Execute performance testing to assess responsiveness, scalability, and stability of ETL processes and data pipelines, collaborating with the development team to enhance performance.Collaboration:
Work closely with data engineers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, identify risks, and provide QA insights throughout the development lifecycle.Documentation:
Prepare detailed test cases, test reports, and other documentation to ensure effective communication and knowledge sharing within the team.Data Warehouse Concepts:
Apply knowledge of dimensional modeling and data warehouse concepts such as star schema, snowflake schema, dimensions, and facts during the testing process.Sign-offs:
Ensure all deliverables—including test strategies, test plans, and test cases—are reviewed and signed off in accordance with governance requirements.Quality Assurance:
Maintain high standards of quality in all testing activities and support the development team in delivering defect-free, reliable solutions.Data Analysis:
Write and execute SQL queries to validate data, troubleshoot issues, log defects, and collaborate with developers to resolve data and software-related discrepancies.

Technical Skills:
ETL Tools: Experience with ETL tools and frameworks, preferably with Azure Data Factory and DBT.
Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in using Snowflake for data warehousing.
API Testing: Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
SQL and Scripting: Proficiency in SQL and scripting for data validation and test case data comparison.
Automation: Experience in test automation using tools like Selenium WebDriver, pytest, or similar.
Agile/Scrum: Understanding of Agile/Scrum development principles.
Data Integration: Knowledge of data integration techniques and best practices.
