As a Quality Assurance Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for testing features to ensure functionality and quality. You will collaborate with the team to ensure testing processes are thorough and to identify improvements and enhancements. You will be able to develop your skill-set quickly in a fast-moving environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Owning medium-sized quality engineering tasks and delivering while mentoring and helping team members
- Making technology choices at individual level and analyzing impact
- Applying principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean, Agile, XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
- Integrating project testing with continuous integration process
- Working with fellow team members to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions
- Providing expertise in quality engineering, test planning and testing methodology for a software project
- Developing and executing maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional and regression test cases
To Be Successful in This Role
- Bachelor’s Degree BE / B.Tech / M.Tech or MCA with 1–2 years of professional experience
- Demonstrated experience and ability to write Java code for testing solution code (white-box testing)
- Experience in Selenium
- Experience testing web services (SOAP / REST; throughput, performance under load) – good to have
- Experience working with virtual machines as part of test or integration infrastructure
- Strong oral, written communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective team building and problem-solving abilities
- Persistence to completion with strong ownership and team spirit
