YOUR ROLE

The quality of Investment’s data, processes and software is critically important to achieve business results. The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst will work directly with project and business teams to ensure the highest quality execution. This role also provides a prime opportunity to learn about all aspects of Investments.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan, document and execute test cases using business requirements or in some cases undefined/loosely defined requirements as needed. Experience using a Test Management solution such as PractiTest, ALM or equivalent. Prioritize and sequence test case execution according to defined test strategy and milestones. Provide input to timeline estimations.
Analyze unexpected results, working with IT to identify root cause and potential solutions. Document, monitor and communicate defects as well as the status of project tasks within JIRA.
Work closely and proactively communicate with the entire project team as needed to effectively complete testing activities.
Understand your testing responsibilities, as well how it fits into the overall testing responsibilities of others, as specified by the team Test Strategy.
Utilize standardized tools to perform validation comparisons, including Excel and advanced Excel macros, provided SQL scripts, DVT & Spreadsheet compare.
Adhere to Quality Assurance standards and guidelines within Investments IT.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years’ experience in software testing and documenting test cases. Preferably some experience with back end/database and comparison testing.
• Some experience with advanced Excel functions and macros.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines
• Proven history of detail-oriented execution and commitment to customer satisfaction

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Investments, Finance or related discipline
• Understanding of Financial Services Investments data
• Familiar with reporting and Data Warehouse Projects
• Proclivity towards automated solutions
