Risk and Control Objective

Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.

Introduction:

• The successful candidate will actively contribute to various projects spanning across critical technical deliveries, regulatory projects and platform enhancements requested by the product owner or business users. With a heavy emphasis on both technical and communication skills, the candidate will be expected to work closely with the Developers, Business Analysts, Architects and Project Managers across all regions and business clusters to deliver robust design and technical solutions in a controlled, transparent and actively risk managed fashion.
• This role requires the candidate to possess exceptional test automation skills & test management skills. The person should be a strong team player with skills to work in onshore-offshore model. The candidate will be responsible for development and maintenance of UI Test automation suites for the EAR Web applications.

What will you be doing?

• Develop Automation Test strategy and help with creation and execution of automated test cases for applications within EAR Project
• Automate repeatable test cases as part of regression testing using Playwright, typescript/JavaScript.
• Help manage test environment and test data ensuring support of test efforts and schedules.
• Collaborate with development teams on common approach of Continuous delivery model
• Deliver high quality work
• Develop and design automation tests
• Ensure functionality is tested against requirements, validate that the solution is fit for purpose and supports the full end-to-end client business process
• Discuss and agree specifications with business analysts and/or end users
• Support and maintenance of existing solutions on a rota basis

What we’re looking for:

• Hands on experience in Playwright, TypeScript/Javascript.
• Excellent knowledge in E2E test lifecycle (estimations, plan, strategy, scenarios, cases, execution, coordination, reporting)
• Experience with source control systems (e.g. Git), CI tools (e.g. TeamCity), Issue-tracking systems (e.g. JIRA), Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum)
• Fluent English – oral and written

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of quality assurance automation tools and experience of writing unit and other type of tests
• Previous experience in investment banking, or in the financial industry, or knowledge of finance, investment banking, and/or trading is preferred but not essential
• Readiness to learn & adopt new technologies.
• Ability to work with the business analysts, peers and project managers to understand their requirements.
