Job purpose : The software Test Engineer in Accelya is the foundation of the test Department. The individual needs to be highly motivated, a strong communicator, technically strong with a passion for software testing. They can work as part of a team environment using their own initiative and show the attribute to become an expert in the Testing and Airline Domain.

• Test Excellence: Ensuring all test activities assigned are executed on time and to high quality through effective execution, reporting and tracking.

Duties and responsibilities

• Test Script creation, Manual Test Execution and Defect Reporting
• Is able to train quickly and upskill on the Testing and Airline Domain
• Knowledge on Automation tool like Selenium.
• Knowledge on Tools like Jira will be added advantage.
• Executes test plans agreed by the Test lead
• Used the tools, processes and frameworks provided to effectively carry out their role and meet expectations.
• Ensure highest standards are applied to test execution.
• Effectively escalates any potential risks or project issues to the Test Lead.
• Works with the test and quality team to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget
• Remains current on industry changes and new developments on test/quality standards and methodologies.
• Learns about testing and industry “best practice” and techniques.

Skills and Experience

Qualifications

• Mandatory: IT Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• Desirable:  Any ISTQB, 9001, Automation or Agile certifications

Skills :

• Fluent English: Excellent verbal and written communication
• Understands test methodologies and software development life cycles
• Internally focused attitude with good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Aptitude for learning, understanding, and applying concepts, methodologies and techniques.
• Team player with positive attitude
• Able to multitask

Experience

• 0-2 years’ experience in Testing Domain
• Basic Idea of testing tools such as JIRA, Test Rail, Selenium etc.
• Work experience in the Airline domain advantageous.
• Work experience of automation as well as strong manual testing advantageous.
