Job Description Summary

GE Vernova is looking for a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to test features and ensure high-quality software delivery. You’ll work independently, break down problems, and accurately estimate time for quality-related tasks.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Break down problems and estimate time for testing tasks

• Apply a variety of testing methodologies during the software development lifecycle (SDLC)

• Demonstrate increasing expertise in application domains and functional areas

• Take ownership of tasks and deliver quality work independently

• Apply SDLC principles and methodologies such as Lean, Agile, XP, CI/CD, and refactoring techniques

• Write and maintain effective test cases and automation scripts

• Collaborate with developers to fix bugs and build test plans

• Configure and implement testing tools; support junior testers when needed

• Conduct system-level integration testing

• Define quality metrics, best practices, and maintain coding standards

Education Qualification

For roles outside the USA:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)

For roles in the USA:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or STEM

• Minimum 2 years of experience
