Responsibilities
- Attend comprehensive initial training covering software testing concepts, automation tools, programming, and LTIMindtree’s delivery frameworks.
- Assist in the preparation of detailed test plans and test cases from functional requirements and user stories.
- Execute manual test cases for web, mobile, and API layers and document test results with clear pass/fail evidence.
- Log defects with precision, including reproducible test steps, environment details, severity, and priority classification.
- Perform regression testing after every code drop to ensure existing functionality is not broken by new changes.
- Support automation engineers in identifying candidate test cases for automation and maintaining existing automation suites.
- Participate in client-facing reviews and status meetings to communicate testing progress and risk areas.
- Take ownership of assigned modules and proactively flag quality risks to the QA lead in a timely manner.
Required Skills & Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of manual software testing principles, test case design techniques, and defect management.
- Basic programming knowledge in Java, Python, or C; hands-on academic project experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with SQL for database testing and basic data validation queries.
- Awareness of Agile/Scrum processes and the QA engineer’s role within a sprint-based team.
- Knowledge of any defect tracking tool such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or HP ALM is an added advantage.
- Strong logical thinking, attention to detail, and an analytical approach to breaking down complex requirements into test scenarios.
Eligibility Criteria
- B.E. / B.Tech in CS, IT, ECE, or related engineering disciplines from a recognised university.
- 2024 or 2025 graduating batch freshers are eligible to apply.
- Minimum 60% aggregate in 10th, 12th, and graduation (or 6.0 CGPA).
- No active backlogs at the time of application or joining.
- Three-year full-time bachelor’s degree from a UGC/AICTE recognised institution required.
