The Role:

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will work closely with the team lead, Scrum Master, business analysts, QA team members, and other developers to test and enhance technology solutions for Morningstar’s data services. You’ll need to gain a solid understanding of the existing systems and data model, and help deliver innovative solutions. We are seeking proactive problem solvers who excel in fast-paced environments and can quickly adapt to new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test and validate software code.
• Automate testing processes, including APIs and Kafka code.
• Create and verify test data for various scenarios.
• Promote best practices in development, such as test-driven development, continuous integration, and adopting innovative frameworks.
• Contribute to continuous and automated testing strategies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 2-4 years of experience in software testing.
• Proven experience in developing test suites based on automation frameworks and creating test data sets.
• Experience certifying products for both planned releases and hotfixes.
• Strong background in developing regression test suites.
• 1-3 years of experience in data analysis projects.
• Proficient in SQL and Postman.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud computing, particularly AWS.
