Responsibilities
- Complete Wipro’s intensive fresher training programme covering software testing foundations, automation tools, and client delivery processes.
- Write, review, and execute manual test cases based on business requirements, user stories, and system design documents.
- Perform various testing types including functional, regression, integration, smoke, and UAT to ensure defect-free product releases.
- Identify, document, and track defects through their entire lifecycle in JIRA or similar defect management tools.
- Participate in automation activities using Selenium or UFT to develop and maintain regression test scripts.
- Collaborate with developers and business analysts to clarify requirements and ensure complete test coverage.
- Generate weekly test progress reports and communicate quality metrics to project stakeholders.
- Adhere to Wipro’s defined QA processes, coding standards, and delivery governance frameworks at all times.
Required Skills & Technical Knowledge
- Solid foundation in software testing concepts: STLC, defect life cycle, test design techniques, and test reporting.
- Basic programming skills in Java or Python for automation test script development.
- Knowledge of Selenium WebDriver or any automation framework is preferred but not mandatory for freshers.
- SQL proficiency for database testing and backend data validation.
- Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodology and the tester’s role within a sprint team.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English for documentation and client interactions.
- Minimum 60% marks in 10th, 12th, and graduation; maximum one active backlog permitted at the time of applying.
Eligibility Criteria
- B.E. / B.Tech in CS, IT, ECE, Mechanical, or allied engineering from a recognised institution.
- 2024, 2025, or 2026 graduating batch freshers are eligible to apply via Wipro’s NLTH programme.
- Minimum 60% aggregate (or 6.0 CGPA) in 10th, 12th, and graduation; maximum 1 backlog allowed.
- Willingness to work from any Wipro delivery centre across India including Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Noida.
