Role: Test Engineer – Enterprise Test Engineering

The Enterprise Test Engineering (ETE) group ensures that applications and systems meet DTCC’s enterprise quality standards. The team covers functional testing, non-functional testing, test architecture, regression, performance, capacity, resiliency testing, environment management, and automation framework development.
The Test Engineer role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions and ensuring that applications meet functional and technical specifications.

Primary Responsibilities

Prepare, maintain, and execute test cases based on user stories
Present test results and track defects through closure
Develop and maintain automated test scripts
Maintain traceability from business requirements to test cases and automated scripts
Review test cases and automation approaches with team members for coverage
Track testing milestones, report risks and issues affecting timelines
Create end-to-end business scenarios aligned with business objectives
Support delivery pipeline adoption
Identify environment and data dependencies
Contribute to reusable automation frameworks
Develop a basic understanding of the product
Ensure process compliance and proper documentation
Integrate risk and control processes into day-to-day work and escalate when necessary

Qualifications

Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience

Skills and Talents Needed

3+ years of QA testing experience with at least 2 years in test automation
Strong experience with Java, TestNG, JUnit, and Selenium
Hands-on experience with Git and Bitbucket
Knowledge of automation standards and best practices, including XPath axes and CSS selectors
Strong understanding of automation design patterns such as Page Object Model
Experience with ALM, JIRA, defect management, triaging, and reporting
Experience with functional, regression, smoke, sanity, compatibility, and UAT testing
Experience with REST Assured for API automation
Experience with Maven, dependency management, and pom.xml
Ability to write medium complexity SQL queries
Ability to interpret technical designs and build automation solutions accordingly
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication skills
Positive attitude, collaboration mindset, and strong interpersonal skills
