Role Overview
As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the testing strategy, processes, and resources for the Decisions platform. This role works closely with all departments including Cloud Ops, Customer Success, Documentation, Professional Services, R&D, Solutions, and Support to identify core issues and prioritize fixes for releases in a tight schedule. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise and effective communication skills to drive quality throughout the organization.
Essential Functions and Priorities
- Identify and implement strategies to test the platform effectively within tight timelines across multiple platform versions
- Work on a global team performing both automated and manual testing
- Write automated tests using C# or Java along with web automation frameworks such as Selenium or Playwright
- Communicate effectively with leadership, developers, testers, and cross-functional teams regarding platform issues
- Document testing results and create reports for leadership to track release readiness
Support Duties
- Understand enterprise integrations and communicate effective testing plans and solutions
- Provide examples and training for testing resources on platform features
- Anticipate potential issues and provide proactive recommendations
- Question existing processes and demonstrate initiative
- Learn continuously, speak up, and take ownership to advance organizational goals
Requirements
- Certification in Quality Assurance Automation, Selenium, or Playwright
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for onshore and offshore collaboration
- Understanding of databases, enterprise systems, web applications, and Software QA best practices
- Knowledge of SDLC using Agile and lean methodologies
- Basic understanding of software development concepts including data types, variables, loops, and exception handling
- Ability to analyze information from multiple sources and create effective testing plans
- Strong proficiency with Windows systems and command-line operations
- Strong focus on user experience and delivering high-quality software
- Interest in testing fundamentals, Windows services, networking concepts, and APIs
- Exposure to technologies such as .NET, HTML, C#, SQL, JavaScript, IIS, Active Directory, Hyper-V, VirtualBox, or testing platforms is an added advantage
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
