Alcon careers – Summary of Position :
The Test Expert will work closely with the Product Owner(s) and solution teams on defining User Story test criteria, authoring test cases, executing various phases of testing (including OQ/PQ & regression), and automating test cases whenever possible, with the goal of producing a high-quality solution and the best user experience possible for our customers.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform various phases of testing, including; unit, system, integration, regression and functional testing and acceptance
- Ensure that all required testing deliverables are created including testing approach, testing scenarios, conditions and expected results, acceptance criteria and test scripts
- Execute formal review cycles including informal review, formal review, testing sign-off and quality assurance review
- Manage test environment and test data, as well as integrated systems test data
- Ensure Agile User Stories contain appropriate acceptance criteria and regression testing requirements, prior to releasing into the backlog
Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, MIS or Business Administration or a related field
- At least 3+ years of applicable testing experience
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in utilizing Agile development methodology
- Minimum 1+ years’ experience in Atlassian toolsets (JIRA, Confluence)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in RDBS/SQL
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Python or Java
- Basic knowledge of automaton testing
- Preferred Bigdata/ETL/SSIS background
- Preferred AWS cloud knowledge
- Prefer experience in Tricentis’ Tosca Automated Testing software
- Prefer experience in Tricentis’ QTest Test Management software
- Prefer Cross-platform integration testing experience
