As Associate Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Quoting software products. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing functional test scripts to verify the functionality of web-based applications. Your expertise in functional testing, automated testing, and best practices will contribute to our overall testing strategy, enabling us to deliver top-notch software to our clients.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Review requirements and acceptance criteria for testability and collaborate with the IT Application Delivery team to determine the most effective testing strategy
- Develop and document test plans, test scenarios, and test cases
- Develop test automation using Java, Selenium, and Cucumber BDD framework
- Contribute to the design and development of automated testing frameworks and libraries
- Support all testing efforts including functional, regression, and performance testing for web-based applications
- Integrate test automation into CI/CD process and perform parallel executions under senior guidance
- Actively participate in Scrum activities
- Verify end-user expectations are met during the testing process as well as post-implementation
- Accurately report testing results and progress at appropriate intervals as established by the SQA Manager
- Conduct research and proactively make recommendations to improve tools and techniques
- Document and report defects and coordinate with appropriate resources to ensure proper tracking and resolution

Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering
Experience
1 to 3 years professional experience as a QA Analyst
1+ years of experience with automation framework in Java Selenium and Cucumber
Technical Knowledge and Abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Hands-on experience in Java Selenium automation and BDD Cucumber framework
- Experience in web-based application testing
- Strong hands-on experience in functional testing
- Experience incorporating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Maven, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps
- Experience working in Agile methodologies within a Scrum team environment
- Performance testing experience using JMeter is an added advantage
- Experience configuring and triggering pipelines using GitHub or GitLab Actions
- Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed to meet deadlines
