You will analyse test data, prepare reports, and assist senior engineers — all from the Ranjangaon Pune facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in directing and coordinating engineering activities related to development, procurement, installation, and calibration of test instruments, equipment, and control devices
  • Support determination of test conditions, sequences, and phases of test operations for assigned product lines
  • Execute operational, functional, and performance phases of electronic circuit board tests
  • Perform semi-routine technique development and maintenance as per established Jabil standards, including ISO and QS development standards
  • Analyse and interpret test data; prepare technical reports for use by test engineering and management personnel
  • Develop or use computer software and hardware to conduct tests on machinery, circuit boards, and electronic equipment
  • Review circuit board designs for testability requirements and provide feedback to design teams
  • Support manufacturing with failure analysis, tester debugging, and reduction of intermittent failures and downtime of test equipment
  • Prepare recommendations for testing and documentation of procedures from the product design phase through to initial production
  • Generate test reports, analysis summaries, and documentation; review test equipment designs and RMA issues with customers regularly
  • Provide training in new testing procedures to production and testing staff as required
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and security rules and regulations as per Jabil’s company policies and supervisor directives
Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.E / B.Tech) in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, ECE, Instrumentation, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of electronic circuit board testing concepts including ICT, FVT, and system-level testing
  • Ability to read and interpret circuit board schematics, technical drawings, and test documentation

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals clearly
  • Strong mathematical foundation — ability to work with probability, statistical inference, ratios, fractions, and percentages in practical testing scenarios
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to follow instructions, work in a team environment, and meet deadlines consistently
Preferred / Good to Have Skills

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or QS quality management systems used in electronics manufacturing
  • Hands-on experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, and logic analysers
  • Experience with LabVIEW, TestStand, or similar test automation frameworks
  • Familiarity with PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) manufacturing processes
  • Basic understanding of NPI (New Product Introduction) processes in a manufacturing setting
  • Knowledge of EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) practices in an electronics manufacturing environment
  • Internship or project experience in electronics testing, manufacturing, or quality assurance

Skills You Should Prepare Before Applying

To give yourself the best shot at clearing the selection process for this Jabil Test Engineer Job, focus your preparation on the following areas:

  • Electronics Fundamentals: Revise your core concepts in analog and digital electronics, circuit analysis, and semiconductor devices. These are tested in technical rounds.
  • Testing Concepts: Understand the difference between ICT, FVT, and system-level testing. Know the basic testing lifecycle — test planning, test execution, defect reporting, and closure.
  • Fault Analysis: Practice failure analysis scenarios — given a PCB failure, how would you identify, isolate, and document the root cause? This is a common interview area for test engineering roles at Jabil.
  • Basic Programming: Learn or revise Python or C scripting basics. Being able to write a simple test automation script is a big advantage.
  • Quality Standards: Read about ISO 9001 quality management systems. Understanding terms like non-conformance, corrective action, and audit trails will help in interviews.
  • Communication Skills: Jabil operates globally. Practice explaining technical problems clearly and concisely — this is assessed in both technical and HR rounds.
  • Safety Awareness: Since this is a manufacturing floor role, expect questions on EHS protocols, PPE usage, and safe handling of electronic equipment.
