We are currently seeking a Software Engineer I who will apply their strong software development and test automation skills to craft, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve Phenomenex’s web based software. You may also be supporting your team in adopting test automation frameworks and standard methodologies to ensure we are building the right product the accurate way.  This is a hybrid position requiring 50-75% in office and 25-50% at home.

What we’ll get you doing:

  • Working closely with other engineers to analyze new feature requirements and break down high-level features into tasks and timelines.
  • Verify, validate, and ensure traceability of all work from requirements, to design, and all the way through to tests
  • Have a commitment for quality
  • Analyze, design and develop reusable test plans and test cases
  • Participate in Agile Scrum process
  • Will need to work once a month on Saturday to support production deployments
  • Will need to a part of an on call schedule to support the 24/7 uptime of the corporate website
  • Will need to support late evening calls with global offices including US

The essential requirements of the role include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in computer science or related field
  • 0-3 years of experience with Quality Assurance Testing
  • Experience with RDBMS and proficient with writing SQL queries to query databases
  • Experience with Angular, Javascript, HTML, Bootstrap, Node JS, REST APIs, .NET, C#, MVC

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience with Azure cloud technologies – Azure Web App, Azure DevOps CI/CD, Azure Functions, etc.
  • Experience of cross-browser/platform issues and code solutions
  • Experience of Agile Scrum and Agile tools (i.e. Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Miro)
  • Experience with authorization frameworks a plus
  • Understanding of cloud, digital and web technologies such as content management systems, CRM, product catalogs, and e-commerce tools a plus
