Automation QA Engineer – Finastra

Position Summary:

The QA Engineer works under the direction of the QA Team Lead to ensure software applications meet specifications. This role involves testing software based on customer requirements, maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and acting as an advocate for customers to ensure quality standards are met.

Role and Responsibilities:

Develop manual and automated test cases based on functional and technical specifications.
Ensure testing coverage aligns with customer requirements.
Conduct test reviews with stakeholders.
Prepare and validate customer setup from an end-user perspective.
Perform regression testing before new releases and customer delivery.
Provide accurate release status updates.
Qualify and retest customer-reported defects to ensure compliance.
Participate in documentation reviews across teams.
Engage in post-test meetings to improve testing processes.
Support client implementations of Finastra products (both onsite and offsite).
Collaborate with teams to define test objectives, execute test cases, and enhance testing processes.

Job Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

3-4 years of experience in software testing.
Proficiency in Java programming.
Hands-on experience with QA methodologies and processes.
Experience with Automated SoapUI test development.
Working knowledge of SQL, Oracle DB, and MongoDB.
Familiarity with automated testing tools (preferred).
Exposure to payment systems and banking (preferred).

Strong technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related tools.
