As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the CCB, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Knowledge and experience using popular build tools, like MAVEN, NPM and Gradle as well as Development Tools (XCode, Android Studio)
Exposure to test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Appium, Cucumber/Gherkin, Selenium Grid, Junit, SOAP-UI, Eclipse, Jenkins, CA-Lisa, Ant, Maven, Visual Studio)
Demonstrated experience executing/writing/maintaining manual and automation test suites
Hands-on experience with 508 tools such as AXE, JAWS, PAW, WAT, Ferret, Narrator, or Common Look, or others. (ADA Testing)
Web accessibility testing including Semi-automated scans, manual reviews, keyboard only, color sampling, and screen reader testing – Web: NVDA, JAWS, Mobile: VoiceOver, Talkback
Experience with microservices architecture and testing methodologies
Hands-on automation development using SOAP UI/Postman
Experience with Mocking frameworks like ServerMock, Hoverfly etc
Experience with contract testing using Pact and similar tools

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Experience working in Agile teams using JIRA
Having worked in the Banking or Financial domain
Core Java
Understanding of accessibility testing best practices
Detailed understanding of common defect and data management tools
Experience working effectively with teams and stakeholders to develop relationships and achieve common goals
Experience building and testing REST and SOAP web services
Experience with API testing tools
Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
