Job Description
This position involves working on complex tasks and problems of diverse scope, including implementations, upgrades, enhancements and defect fixes. Includes responsibility for designing testing requirements and writing, communicating and verifying test executions, with a focus on test automation and performance throughout the entire software development life cycle – from design through development to deployment.
How you’ll make an impact
- Developing and establishing automation frameworks.
- Designing, scripting, developing, and automating software tests.
- Build regression and acceptance test scenarios with guidance from Product/Project Managers, Developers and other Product/Delivery team members
- Participating in the Agile/Scrum software development process.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of Quality Assurance best practices and process improvements.
- Participate in a complete development lifecycle from inception through release, working with an agile methodology
- Develop test plans and execute test plans during every update
- Create automated tests with approved automation tools.
- Diagnose problems and document bugs and enhancements to Scrum team.
- Provide regular status against developer stories (Jira or Azure)

What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be taken into consideration in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of three years of experience in quality assurance, with both manual and automated development and backend testing.
- Hands on experience with test automation and test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver) as well as test application and tools.
- Experience with issue tracking systems and test case repositories.
- Experience with deployment validation
- Experience with test driven development, with testing in an Agile environment required.
- Necessary to have command of a software language (e.g., Java) or scripting language (e.g., Python, Groovy,)
- Knowledge of web services and hands on experience with web service testing tools such as Postman
- Preferable to have experience with Elasticsearch
- Understanding of software development methodology and a strong understanding of back end (non-UI) testing.
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
