We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality.QA engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts.)The QA Engineer role plays an important part in our company’s product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs, while being cost-effective. If you hold an engineering background and enjoy providing end-to-end solutions to software quality problems, we’d like to meet you.
Ultimately, you should monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.
Requirements:
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for backend services. Perform automated testing using REST Assured to ensure API functionality, reliability, and performance. Create and maintain Postman scripts for API testing and validation. Utilize Swagger to understand API documentation and create relevant test cases. Collaborate with the development team to identify and resolve defects and issues. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to developers. Continuously improve the testing process and contribute to the automation framework. Analyze test results, identify trends, and report defects and issues to the development team. Ensure the quality and performance of backend systems through rigorous testing practices. Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and testing processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in backend testing and quality assurance. Strong knowledge of REST Assured with JAVA and experience in writing automated test scripts. Proficiency in using Postman for API testing and scripting. Familiarity with Swagger for understanding and testing APIs. Hands-on experience with automation frameworks and tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Attention to detail and a passion for quality assurance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Knowledge of performance testing tools and techniques. Familiarity with version control systems like Git. Experience with other automation tools and frameworks is a plus.
