About the Role:

As a QA Engineer within Thomson Reuters’ Commercial Engineering organization, you will play a key role in building and deploying the foundation for next-generation enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) applications and services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-performing, fast-paced team at the heart of Thomson Reuters’ digital transformation.

You will collaborate closely with technology peers and business partners to drive innovative solutions, build scalable, automated systems for regression, performance, and load testing, and ensure consistent, reliable experiences for our customers. Your work will influence the development of modernized applications and services, ensuring high-quality user experiences and supporting the company’s ongoing transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Automation & Best Practices: Leverage your experience with test automation and software engineering best practices to build automated systems for regression, performance, and load testing.

• Code Development & Deployment: Turn new requirements into code, including unit testing, deployment, and ongoing monitoring.

• CI/CD Pipeline & Automated Tests: Build and optimize automated tests within the context of software delivery pipelines (CI/CD), ensuring that tests provide fast, reliable feedback.

• DevOps & Continuous Monitoring: Gain deep knowledge of modern DevOps tools and practices such as Continuous Testing, Continuous Security, and Continuous Monitoring/Observability.

• Test Data Systems: Develop synthetic test data systems to support comprehensive testing strategies.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with your quality assurance function team and engineering teams to improve system performance and stability, particularly for 3rd party SaaS and PaaS technologies.

About You:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in cloud-native application development.

• Experience:

  • 4–6 years of experience in coding and software design principles.

  • Strong background in public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Node.js, etc.).

• Passion for Automation: A strong passion for quality assurance, test automation, and modern tooling practices.

• Problem Solving: Ability to identify roadblocks and solve complex, large-scale problems through collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Metrics & Measurement: Creative ability to define key metrics and track DevOps transformation progress.

• Automation Frameworks: Experience with automated test scripting using tools like QTP/UFT, Selenium, Worksoft, or similar frameworks.

• Knowledge of 3rd Party Technologies: Experience with or knowledge of 3rd-party technologies such as SAP, AEM, Salesforce, or Boomi is a plus.

• Continuous Learning: A strong willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks with a sense of accountability and urgency.
