We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to join our application development team. Candidates should have comprehensive software development and test automation experience, good organization and communication skills, and be able to work well within a fast-paced, team environment. The candidate will be responsible for developing software related to integrating audio/video conferencing with web and desktop applications in addition to building automated testing solutions.

Bt group QA engineer Key Responsibilities

Lead technical design of new applications or enhancements to existing applications.
Development of Test Automation for Web based systems (both UI and Backend) for different product lines.
Develop, enhance, and/or use various Automation Test Tools and Frameworks.
Creation of Test Automation Suites for Load test.
Creation of Test Automation Suites for Feature/Integration test.
Plan, execute, and debug test cases and test suites for feature/integration test.
Open informative tickets for bugs found, including troubleshooting analysis.
Interface with customer for planning, status, or technical inquiries.
Discuss and help the team technically in the test automation activities.
Pro-actively communicate status and issues to project managers and head of application development.
Quickly and efficiently address application issues.

Skills and Experience Required for BT group QA Engineer

Experience with at least one major object oriented programming language (preferably Java)
Knowledge of test concepts and test phases
Knowledge/Experience with manual and automated testing (Selenium, Protractor or similar)
Knowledge/Experience with API test automation tools (SoapUI, JMeter or similar)
Knowledge/Experience with agile development (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP, Atlassian Jira/Confluence, etc.)
Experience with Java Frameworks (Spring, Guice, CXF, etc.).
Experience with Ajax/Web 2.0, JavaScript (AngularJS/ReactJS), and nodejs/npm.
Design, develop, and maintain REST API and integration test automation code using JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, and using test frameworks like Cypress, Postman and NUnit for applications in microservice and event-driven architecture
Design and develop performance tests using tools like JMeter
Coordinate with Developers and DevOps to validate deployments in all environments using technologies like Gradle, Ivy, Jenkins, Terraform, AWS, Puppet/Chef, etc.
Experience working with Kubernetes and Docker automation.

Beneficial Skills/Experience

Knowledge on Web Technology (e.g. HTML4/5, CSS2/3, LESS, Sass, etc.)
