API and Microservices Testing

1. Execute functional and non-functional tests for APIs using Postman, and manually perform microservices tests.
2. Validate endpoints by putting parameters, hitting URLs, and analyzing responses.
3. Compare actual results with expected outcomes to ensure functionality.

Test Planning and Design:

1. Analyze functional and technical documentation to prepare comprehensive test cases.
2. Design end-to-end test cases in collaboration with the team in Spain, considering client-specific requirements.
3. Develop and maintain test scenarios and data, parameterize test data as needed.

Automation:

1. Automate at least 30% of the test cases using Katalon Studio or Selenium.
2. Analyze test cases to determine the most efficient approach for automation.
3. Write, maintain, and execute automated test scripts, focusing on improving test coverage and efficiency.

Test Management:

1. Utilize Zephyr or other test management tools to manage test cases, execution, and defect tracking.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate testing into the development lifecycle.
3. Monitor and report on test progress, coverage, and defect status.

Collaboration:

1. Work closely with the development team to understand new features and changes.
2. Engage with the Spain-based team to ensure alignment on test designs and requirements.
3. Coordinate with the India team to design and implement automated tests and review test results.

Required Skills and Experience:

Technical Skills:

1. Proven experience in testing Java-based Microservices and APIs.
2. Proficiency with Postman for API testing, including creating and managing requests and analyzing responses.
3. Hands-on experience with test management tools such as Zephyr.
4. Experience with automation tools such as Katalon Studio (preferred) or Selenium.

Analytical Skills:

1. Ability to analyze functional and technical documentation to create effective test cases.
2. Strong understanding of parameterization and data-driven testing techniques.
3. Experience in designing and implementing automated test cases.

Soft Skills:

1. Strong communication skills to work with teams across different locations.
2. Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
3. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with Katalon Studio for automated testing.

Education and Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 2.5-3 years of experience in API and Microservices testing.

Work Environment:
