As a Software Development Engineer in Test you will be working closely with Dev & Operations team. You will support good quality practices and feature or functional and system tests, both manual and automated. The goal is to write frameworks and develop tools to qualify the EAA code.
As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for:
- Using software development skills to develop tools, test frameworks and automation of test processes
- Enhancing the speed, scalability, reliability, and security of Akamai systems through advancements in testing and deployment
- Collaborating with engineering teams in Agile environment to influence through code review, design process and product development
- Providing support for interface issues to update changes and provide fixes to bugs
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in related technical field
- Be well versed in how the internet works, it’s networks and protocols e.g. TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, TLS/SSL
- Have familiarity with test tools and continuous integration systems (such as, Jenkins or Selenium)
- Be well versed in scripting language Java/Python web application architecture and Robot framework
- Have experience of working in networking, cloud, Load balancers and Identity systems
