About your role
As a Test Engineer at annalise.ai you will have the opportunity to use your passion for quality on innovative products that improve patient lives at scale. At annalise.ai we understand the impact our work has on patients and set a high bar for quality that we strive to maintain.
Your role will involve work with software engineers and system engineers to understand product requirements and influence them towards testability. You will develop strategies for testing, create and execute test scenarios, and produce formal documentation capturing your work.
What you’ll do:
- Work with Systems Engineers and Software Engineers to understand and refine requirements to enable development of detailed test scenarios;
- Identify suitability of automation for test scenarios;
- Identify system defects early in the development cycle through in-scrum testing;
- Create clear defect descriptions that capture steps to reproduce, environments etc.
- Collaborate with the team to conduct root cause investigations for defects and determine the best resolution; and
- Document test protocols and results in compliance with medical device regulations (ISO13485, IEC62304, FDA Guidelines).
What we’re looking for:
- Passion and pragmatism for Product Quality;
- Experience in developing and executing manual tests for a complex software product;
- Strong communication with an ability to effectively describe and document issues;
- Systems thinking with an ability to connect components of the system and identify failure points;
- Experience with requirements/test management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr or Jama; and
- Experience with testing web technologies (using browser console, proxy tools, http, html, rest).
Nice to have (but not essential):
- Experience in testing software for a regulated industry (e.g. Medical, Defence, Transport);
- Knowledge and or working experience with an international software testing body of knowledge (like ISTQB);
- Experience with API integration tests, performance tests and load tests;
- Experience with API testing tools (such as Postman);
- Experience with SQL for performing database testing and asserting values against the database;
- Experience with medical communications protocols such as DICOM and HL7;
- Experience in testing cloud-based deployments and comfortable working in public cloud environments (e.g. AWS); and
- Software development background (javascript and/or python) with previous experience developing test automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of Linux kernel
