This role could work across multiple squads (including vendor-based squads) across run, fixed and change activities.
What a typical day might look like:
- Test, in collaboration with other squad members, microservices, APIs and integration workflows using defined test strategies that will enable the most efficient solutions delivery
- Develop automated/manual tests for functional testing during system and system integration testing
- Champion modern best practices & techniques related to Quality Engineering, Test automation
- Work on the latest tools and technology to continuously improve test outcomes and bring in innovations across teams
- Solve the daily challenges via automation solutions
What will you bring?
- Experience in coding with at least one programming language e.g. Java, Javascript
- Best practice Test Automation with tools such as:
- Junit, TestNG, MSTest, NUnit, XUnit, Jest, Mocha etc.
- Selenium WebDriver / Puppeteer / Webdriver io
- Cucumber BDD Framework,Maven,Jenkins,Bamboo,Codefresh,Postman, REST-Assured
- High exposure in Testing microservices and APIs for complex applications
- Proficient with SQL / mongodb
- Experience using source control tools e.g. Git, Bitbucket
- Experience developing, using and maintaining test automation frameworks
- Experiences in JIRA, Xray and Atlassian tools and integrating them to automation testing framework is a plus
- Experience working in an agile environment and a working knowledge of DevOps practices and continuous integration and delivery is useful but not essential
- An agile and open mindset, able to consider new ideas and approaches to complex situations
- A focus on outcomes and a proven problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in Banking Domain (Good to Have)
- Experience of working with Microservices (Good to Have)
- Experience of testing application in an integrated environment (Good to Have)
