Job Description
BMC is looking for a QA Engineer to join a Quality Engineering team working on complex and distributed software systems. The role involves developing test plans, executing tests, building automation solutions, and ensuring high product quality across SaaS platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual testing and automation development using Python
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality testing
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in testing (academic experience is also relevant)
- Knowledge of Linux, Windows, and virtualization technologies
- Experience working with complex distributed systems
- Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, databases, Kafka, APIs, and DataDog
- Strong test-oriented mindset with attention to detail
- Proactive, people-oriented team player with problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
Nice to Have Skills
- Test automation and scripting experience (Robot Framework, Python)
- Performance testing tools such as JMeter
- Agile methodology experience
- Jenkins CI knowledge
