CORE RESPONSIBILITIES at Commonwealth :

Design, implement and maintain Automation Framework and Automation test assets like Regression Scripts w.r.t. UI and API to ensure desired level of quality and test coverage.
Contribute to the estimates on the Automation test Script creation and Execution efforts for various features and new initiatives.
Collaborate closely within your scrum team to drive New Automation solution design and promote best test engineering practices in the Testing process
Establish the process for Automation coverage through effective mapping of test cases & scripts in JIRA
Advise and apply best test engineering practice, and supporting tools and technologies to specific features and projects
Mentoring the Scrum Teams on their Testing practices in both Functional and Automation Testing and also Implement innovative ideas in Automation
Work Closely with DevOps Team for maintaining the CICD Pipeline which is explicitly configured for Automation Execution
Effectively Analyse the Requirements and Define Testcases, Testdata and Environment Setup and Automation approach

Your experience at Commonwealth

Essential:

Sound technical understanding of Automation Framework Structure, Automation Tools (Selenium / Playwright), Programming Languages and testing Knowledge and analytical Skills
Sound technical experience in working with Web UI Automation testing tool like Selenium and API Automation
Demonstrable working experience in Creating the Automation test framework for large-scale, Windows, Web and/or mobile applications using industry standards and Selenium/Appium Open source tool
Demonstrable ability to analyse complex technical requirements, review architecture documents and solution design, and determine appropriate Functional and Automation test approach and best engineering practices based on technical design
Demonstrable working experience in code repository & version control tools such as Stash/Bit bucket/Git
Perform Analysis and reviews of the Business Requirements/Functional Specification documents/ User Stories
Demonstrable working experience in REST API or SOAP Automation using POSTMAN/HttpClient/Rest Assured
Demonstrable working experience using CI toolset such as TeamCity/Jenkins
Demonstrable working experience and an advocate for Agile Scrum methodology, and Agile delivery toolset such as JIRA
Demonstrable ability & desire to engage and maintain working relationships with project sponsors, business stakeholders and engineering community.
Demonstrable confidence to challenge senior members of the team and stakeholders, regardless of disciplines, when required.
Effective communication skills and sound business acumen
Demonstrable confidence in presenting innovative ideas to a broad audience including technical and business stakeholders
Ability to learn and apply industry best patterns and practices
Customer focused individual who has demonstrable experience in applying technical expertise to meet customer needs

Desirable:

Demonstrable understanding and/or working knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD) and DevOps
Experience in or exposure to cloud technologies and experience building cloud based applications
Experience in Mobile Testing and Automation
Experience in Windows Application Automation.

Your qualifications

Essential:

Has a tertiary education in IT – i.e. computer science / engineering degree

Desirable:

Holds an agile certification (ie Agile testing/Agile foundations/certified scrum master/Automation Testing Certificate in Selenium or any other Open Source tool)
