Role and Responsibilities

As a Regression QA Engineer with IBM, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of the Db2 for z/OS software through thorough regression testing. You will execute the regression test plans, identify defects, and verify fixes. Your attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and expertise in Db2 for z/OS will be crucial in delivering a high-quality product.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize intelligent automation testing frameworks to execute regression test cases efficiently.
• Efficiently identify, document, and track defects, collaborating closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
• Stay updated on the latest features and changes in Db2 for z/OS, incorporating new function test cases into regression test suites.
• Establish and maintain consistent and reliable test data and environments to ensure the timely execution of automated tests.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 1+ Years of experience in testing and quality assurance processes for software products
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Rexx, JCL, Python
• Strong proficiency in z/OS and z/VM
• Experience in software development lifecycle methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or DevOps
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
• Excellent problem-solving, communication skills
