JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Software Quality Analyst I
Location: India
The Software Quality Analyst (SQA) is responsible for testing of Mouser application projects, recording test results, and providing general quality assurance support. The SQA will work closely with QA management, project managers, software development managers, and software development teams to perform necessary testing of software projects.
ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Review and analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents, providing timely feedback.
- Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Prioritize and plan testing activities.
- Identify and report issues observed, follow up the issues until resolved and perform regression testing.
- Execute test cases manually or automation scripts and create/manage Defects in defect tracking tools.
- Work closely with Product Owner, Developers, and other test engineers to achieve a high level of test coverage.
- Ensure high quality deliverables by performing different types of testing: Black Box testing, Ad Hoc testing, and Positive/Negative testing.
SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS
- Hands on experience in Agile projects.
- Thorough understanding of SDLC, STLC ang bug life cycle.
- Should be a team player with good interpersonal skills.
- Should be flexible to quickly adapt with the changing requirements and proactively give inputs to that will better the overall solution.
- Should be an enthusiast and quick and continuous learner, be on top of changing architecture, trends and emerging technology.
- Possesses a high degree of initiative.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Aptitude to deal with situations when limited procedures or standards exist.
- Possess strong organizational skills and multitasking ability.
- Possess strong attention to detail skills.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude toward self and others.
- Exhibits strong analytical and problems solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication etiquette.
- Able to communicate with people at all levels.
- Understanding of the UniVerse programming language and database is a plus.
