• Typically requires 2-3 years of experience developing software applications or in a related area and up to 2 years of experience in previous role. Has a working knowledge of a variety of technical concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Follows disciplined software development practices.
• Up-to-date on current and best practices related to software development.
• Consults with other engineering staff and product marketing to evaluate requirements of overall system.
• Performs requirement analysis, dependency and estimation on a variety of complicated technical tasks.
• May structure, task, direct and review the technical work of others.
• Has the ability to make good judgment calls. A degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
• Reports to a Group Leader or Section Manager/Manager
