Job Description:
QuinStreet is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Team in Pune. In this role, you will work with the team to evaluate Products/APIs created by the Development team and other departments to help ensure quality and reliability of the platform.
Responsibilities:
- Review functional requirement documentation and create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
- Perform root cause analysis to identify problems in design and/or implementation.
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
- Participate in QA function of the web platforms, including Systems and Integration Testing, Regression Testing, Performance and Load Testing.
Qualifications:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
- Good experience on web applications and API testing.
- Solid understanding of test process Requirement analysis, test scenario design, writing test cases, test data preparation and test execution, track defects and report results, Test Estimation.
- Comfortable in understanding and writing non-trivial SQL queries. Understands RDBMS concepts (entity relationships, constraints, indexes, triggers etc).
- Need to have good exposure in different types of testing like Web application testing, Functional testing, Regression testing, Integration testing, Performance and load testing using Jmeter.
- Experience on test case and bug management tools.
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and meeting deadline individually or as a team.
- Knowledge in Unix commands.
- Strong communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
