Shalom Media Job Description
As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will be responsible for the Quality Standards of a wide range of IT applications in the Shalom World IT landscape. You will be responsible for reviewing requirements, documenting technical specs, and creating and executing test cases based on business requirements and user needs. You will be signing off each service delivery from a quality standpoint. The suitable candidate would require a B-Tech/MCA degree, with 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Candidate must be able to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Responsibilities:
- Determine test objectives by evaluating business requirements, studying functionalities, and gathering information
- Identify and document testing needs
- Create an automation test plan and follow the process through to approval
- Ensure quality with regression testing of existing functionalities
- Develop automated test scripts and execute them
- Collaborate with Functional Analysts and Software Developers to develop quality solutions
- Record problems and issues under the project’s problem and issue management plans
- Document defects using the project’s defect management tools
- Interact with clients regarding issues they experience and be eager to solve them
- Keep up to date with the latest industry trends
- Recommend improvements by identifying problems and writing improved test cases
- Maintain accord with Stakeholder management and maintain end-user confidence
- Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing quality results as needed
- Conduct and coordinate periodic product and operational testing to support quality planning within various departments and programs
- Plan and coordinate market research in support of strategic planning and specific marketing initiatives, as required, and present findings of studies to leadership
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly reviews and analyses of current processes using quality metrics and reports
- Suggest changes to management using analytics to support your recommendations
- Actively participate in the implementation of approved changes
Skills
- Extensive experience in at least one well-known automated testing tool
- B-Tech/MCA or other bachelor’s degree in the appropriate field of study
- 3+ years of previous experience as a test automation engineer
- 3+ years of experience in manual testing
- Good understanding of programming languages like Java, SQL, HTML, C, Python
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Agile & DevOps methodologies
