Trellix SDET 2026 – Role Overview
As an SDET at Trellix, you will be directly responsible for testing and automating various features of Trellix’s security product portfolio. The primary products you will work on include:
- Email Security (EX) – Advanced email threat detection and protection platform.
- Malware Analysis (AX) – Dynamic malware analysis and sandboxing platform.
- File Protect (FX) – File-level threat detection and content inspection platform.
You will bring strong QA automation expertise, a systems-level understanding of Unix/Linux environments, and the ability to work effectively in a cloud and containerized infrastructure landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse software requirements and translate them into comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Prepare test data and configure test environments to support effective test execution.
- Execute manual and automated test cases and log detailed, reproducible defect reports for developers.
- Build effective, maintainable, and scalable automation scripts using Python, Selenium, Playwright, and RESTful API testing.
- Execute automation regression suites on every release cycle and raise defects with full context.
- Maintain a clear understanding of the overall testing process, status reporting, and risk identification.
- Work effectively and collaboratively with senior engineers within the business unit.
- Provide timely status updates on testing progress and proactively escalate issues or risks.
Required Skills – Trellix SDET 2026
