Siemens Energy Quality Assurance Engineer 2026 – A Snapshot of the Role
As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will serve as the quality guardian for assigned software features and modules within the DPS product suite. You will be responsible for both manual and automated testing across web, mobile, and API platforms — working closely with developers, product managers, designers, and business stakeholders.
This role demands someone who can take full ownership of end-to-end quality for their assigned features, bring automation depth with tools like Playwright and Appium, and leverage AI tools to accelerate the testing lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and document comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automation scripts based on functional and technical requirements.
- Execute manual and automated tests to validate software functionality, usability, API responses, and system stability.
- Build, enhance, and maintain automation test suites for web (Playwright/TypeScript), mobile (Appium), and API (Postman/Newman/Rest Assured) platforms.
- Accurately report, track, and manage defects using JIRA, ensuring clear communication with the development team.
- Take ownership of end-to-end quality for assigned modules and ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases.
- Perform regression testing to ensure new changes do not adversely impact existing functionality.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and provide early quality feedback.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Utilize AI tools to accelerate test case creation, script optimization, analysis, and documentation.
- Stay updated with emerging QA trends, automation technologies, and industry best practices.
