Job Description
You will be working as Test Engineer and will be part of Motion Business Area for Traction Division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Team Lead and will be responsible for maintaining the test defect logs captured during the testing and testing automation development of the assigned product.
Your responsibilities
- Supporting the product owner in coordinating to provide and receive the technical inputs for the project and resolving the technical issues with the architecture and development teams
- Preparing the detail use case for the requirements and defects
- Creating and executing the release test descriptions and test plans for the scope of project being executed
- Maintaining the test defect logs captured during the release testing of the assigned product. Preparing the test report
- Analyzing and finding the root cause for customer specific issues/complaints received for assigned products
- Preparing the analysis report for the defects and adding additional testcases
- Generating new ideas on the product and discuss with PO
Your background
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (Computer Science/ Electronics/ Electrical)
- Minimum 2 to 8 years of experience in software testing or test automation
- Good knowledge of manual testing of desktop applications, Integration testing and various communication protocols
- Ability in developing and executing test automation through Python and knowledge on Test complete Automation Tool
- Good understanding of Test Automation Strategy and Process
- Understanding SCRUM way of working is an advantage
