As a Manual / Functional along with Automation Selenium capability hire on this team, you would get opportunities to work on all adjacent area technologies such as Functional Testing/ Integration Testing/ User interface/User experience testing, writing/executing manual test cases, UI and API automation scripts.

As Manual/Automation tester, you will be responsible for the design, create and execute, test cases for software testing and quality assurance purposes. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our testing processes are effective, provide application-level validation and verification as per the requirement.

Halliburton Careers Hiring Software Engineer- Automation Testing/ QA

The work you will do includes:

• Analyze functional design specifications and business requirements to design and develop comprehensive test cases
• Collaborate with business analysts and team leads to understand requirements, technology, and business implications
• Design Manual/Automation Testing strategies and implement test automation frameworks, perform feasibility assessment to prepare automation test suite
• Create and execute both manual and automated test scripts, utilizing best practices and testing methodologies like Agile/Waterfall
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver
• Prepare and maintain Requirement Traceability matrix
• Perform database testing and data validation using like SQL/Oracle/Postgres
• Leverage knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to understand web application structure and facilitate testing.
• Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or SOAPUI

• Identify and report defects in a clear and concise manner, including detailed steps to reproduce the issues and relevant information for developers to investigate and fix the problems.

• Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint retrospectives
• Utilize test case management tools like Jira, TFS or Azure DevOps (ADO) for Test Case/Defect execution and tracking.
• Manage test data effectively, including creation, maintenance, and utilization of test data sets
• Perform Manual/Automated Regression Testing

Deloitte  Skills / Project Experience:

Must Have:

• Proven experience in Manual/Automation test case design, test data preparation, and test scenario creation.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance and/or software development processes and methodologies.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Experience with Manual, Automation and Database testing.
• Experience with at least one Test Management tool like JIRA, TFS, ADO etc.
• Familiarity with automation tools like Selenium and experience creating and executing test scripts.
• Basic understanding of test frameworks like TestNG
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• SQL knowledge for database testing and data validation.
• Ability to generate and interpret test reports and metrics from automated test runs.
• Awareness of API testing concepts and basic usage of tools like Postman or SOAPUI.
• Understanding Testing methodologies like Agile etc. and experience in working on same.
• Basic troubleshooting skills and ability to escalate issues.
• Effective communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• A willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies in automation testing.

Good to have knowledge on Health care industry and Public sector.

Education:

B.E./B. Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc. (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university

Prior Experience:

3-5 years of prior experience in manual and automation testing for web application and API Testing
