Job Description Summary

GE Vernova is looking for a QA Engineer who will contribute to ensuring sustained customer success and post-sales growth. This includes training, technical support, customer retention, renewals, outcome achievement, and expansion. The role involves executing standard operational/technical tasks and offers flexibility in rearranging the workflow based on changing situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a QA advocate for a team focused on front-end and back-end testing of Web, SaaS, and mobile platform-based products.

• Own and deliver medium-sized quality engineering tasks and automation activities while mentoring junior team members.

• Apply SDLC principles and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, security, scalability, documentation practices, refactoring, and advanced testing techniques.

• Integrate testing into the continuous integration (CI) process.

• Collaborate with team members to diagnose bugs and develop effective solutions.

• Provide expertise in test planning, execution, and QA methodologies while staying updated on industry standards.

• Develop and execute maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression test cases.

Qualifications

• 0 to 5 years of experience in Software Automation Testing for Web or SaaS platforms, including SQL Server database exposure.

• At least 1 year of experience owning mid-sized software modules.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or any STEM field.

Desired Skills & Characteristics

• Strong knowledge of Test Automation Frameworks (JavaScript, TypeScript, Java).

• Experience in REST API testing and tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or WebdriverIO.

• Proficient in testing hosted/SaaS-based applications.

• Familiar with relational databases and strong SQL querying skills.

• Proficient in functional, regression, performance, and stability testing techniques.

• Experience working in cross-functional development teams.

• Ability to explore alternate technologies and drive innovation.

• Strong problem-solving, documentation, and effort estimation skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Effective in team collaboration and solution-building.
