Your Impact
OpenText is looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join the global SMBC Development team. You will help build a quality-first culture and play a critical role in delivering high-quality solutions through test automation and collaborative DevOps practices. This is a rare opportunity to contribute from the early stages of a cloud-native, API-driven business enablement platform that will manage large-scale integrations across diverse environments including Linux, Windows, Azure, and AWS.
What the Role Offers
Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts
Design and maintain automation frameworks for UI and API testing
Perform code reviews of test automation at multiple levels (unit, integration, UI)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Developers, QA)
Execute risk-driven exploratory testing practices
Identify automation opportunities and improve test coverage
Create and maintain automated regression, smoke, and feature-focused suites
Create and maintain test data for manual and automated testing
Document and track defects using bug tracking tools
Analyze failures, troubleshoot, and drive resolution
What You Need to Succeed
2 to 4 years of experience in software QA in an Agile environment
Proficiency in test automation frameworks: Selenium, TestNG, JUnit/xUnit
Programming experience in Java or .NET
Experience with tools such as Postman, Swagger, JMeter
Strong knowledge of RESTful API testing
Familiarity with version control systems like Git
Understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
Experience in cross-platform and distributed automated testing
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Knowledge of SQL, and familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, CosmosDB)
Understanding of security testing (SAST, DAST) and best practices for Azure/AWS
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
