Job Description

Capacity Analysis is a crucial asset in identifying optimal operational levels of a system. Historical utilization metrics can help uncover trends, operational impacts over time on a system and provides an important insight for the future growth of the system.

This requires understanding of Python, familiarity with time series forecasting models, Machine Learning, SQL, etc. to design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

Responsibilities

Database Autonomous AIOps (AIOPS):
We develop Autonomous Health Services for Oracle Autonomous Database Cloud (ADB), Fusion Cloud (FASaaS), DBCS, ExaCC, ExaCS cloud services and On-Premises.

In this era of cloud and big data computing, systems supporting complex IT environments become larger, more complex, and numerous, often with many hosts clustered into a single system or distributed among different data centers, it’s challenging to keep systems healthy and respond to problems quickly. With hundreds of interconnected components, misconfiguration can cause problems while running the system and has a serious business impact. When problems occur it can be difficult and time-consuming for those managing these systems to isolate the issue and know which diagnostics to collect.

We design and develop Autonomous Health Framework and Autonomous Health Service products for the Oracle Autonomous Database, Oracle Grid Infrastructure and Oracle Engineered Systems like Exadata and ODA etc.

Autonomous Health Framework and Service products works based on metadata driven, supervised learning by subject matter experts and machine learning technology to do Real-time health monitoring, telemetry generation, incident based diagnostic collection, insights collection, auto creation of Jira tickets for Operations team, and telemetry/diagnostic data is pushed to central repository and processed to find root cause of the issue and provide auto recommendations via web interface it includes Secure log redaction, Continuous incident and log life cycle management, System health monitoring, Capacity planning, Anomaly timeline using ML with fault prediction & corrective action. Autonomous Health Framework product is shipped as part of Oracle software including cloud and on-premises customers to better manage and diagnose Oracle software stack.

Desired Skill Set:

The candidate must have the following knowledge and experience:
* Should have development experience of 7months-2+ years.
* Should be very good at Python
* Familiarity with time series forecasting models, Machine Learning
* Should be very good at SQL, PL/SQL
* Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms
* Write clean code, test-driven development
* Good understanding of the Unix operating system
* Good problem-solving skills
* Knowledge of Version Control is a plus
* Knowledge of Oracle database/GI stack is plus
* Should be self-driven and result oriented
* Should be good at Problem solving and Analytical Skills
* Should be flexible and team contributor
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with individuals across the organization
