Job Summary
VIAVI has an exciting opportunity for a Selenium Automation Test Engineer to join our team of talented engineers in Bangalore. In this role, you will work closely with development teams to deliver high-quality products by ensuring the functionality, usability, and performance of web-based applications.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in frontend and backend automation testing using tools such as Selenium, Postman, Protractor, and JMeter. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps is expected. Knowledge of JavaScript, AngularJS, Java, RESTful APIs, and JSON is an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web applications using Selenium, Protractor, Postman, and JMeter
Create and maintain test scripts using JavaScript, Java, and Python
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality feature delivery
Identify, log, and track defects using tools such as JIRA
Prepare clear and concise test reports detailing defects and test results
Participate in code reviews to ensure quality standards and suggest improvements
Troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered during automated test execution
Continuously learn and adopt new automation tools, technologies, and best practices

Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field (preferred)
Hands-on experience in automation testing projects
Strong understanding of frontend and backend testing strategies
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Familiarity with JavaScript, AngularJS, Java, RESTful APIs, and JSON is desirable
