A Day in the Life
As a Software Test Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our application. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, designing and executing test plans to validate functionality. You will report to the Manager from LS GCC and work at Balewadi, Pune, India.
Your Responsibilities
- Complete all mandatory trainings of QMS to stay compliant with organizational standards
- Analyze requirements and design test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate functionality
- Execute manual and automated tests to identify, document, and track defects using standard tools
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand features and resolve issues effectively
- Report bugs with detailed documentation and track them through to closure
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to test automation frameworks and continuously improve testing processes
- Support release cycles by validating builds, ensuring delivery of high-quality solutions
The Essentials – You Will Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- 3 or more years of experience in software testing
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG
- Familiarity with defect tracking systems such as Jira
The Preferred – You Might Also Have
- A master’s degree or above (MCA, MTech)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Java for test automation
- Basic knowledge of SQL and scripting
